History Of Tieguanyin In China(2)

One day, Master Puzu (Master Qingshui) went to the holy tree to pick tea after bathing and changing his clothes. He found that there were beautiful red buds of Phoenix authentic tea. Soon afterwards, Shan Qiang (commonly known as the little yellow deer) came to eat tea. He saw this scene , I very much sigh: “Heaven and earth create things, really holy trees”. Patriarch Qingshui returned to the temple to make tea and used the holy spring to make tea. He thought: Divine birds, divine beasts, and monks share holy tea, and heaven is holy. Since then, Tiansheng Tea has become his holy prescription for the villagers.

The Patriarch of Qingshui also passed the way of growing and making tea to the villagers. In the foothills of Nanyan Mountain, a retired hunting general “Oolong“, because he went to the mountain to pick tea hunting and hunting unintentionally invented the shaking process and fermentation process, the Tiansheng tea made is more aromatic and more mellow. The folks learned from him, and in the future, the tea made with this technique is called oolong tea.

Wang Shirang took leave to visit relatives and friends in his hometown and found this tea in the foothills of Nanyan Mountain. In the sixth year of Qianlong (1741), Wang Shirang was called to the capital to pay respect to Fang Bao, the minister of ceremonies, and brought tea as a gift. After Fang Bao finished the product, he felt that he was a treasure of tea, so he presented it to Qianlong. Qianlong summoned Wang Shi to inquire about the source of the tea. The king elaborated on the source of tea. Qianlong looked at the tea leaves as Guanyin and his face was as heavy as iron, so he gave the name “Tieguanyin”.
